conker animals?

We collected lots of conkers this Autmn.

After we made a necklace with them,

my son suddenly said " I want to make animals with them."

So....we made animals.

Well, they are all conkers with pressed leaves stuck and glued.

But they all have identity.

There is a rabbit, budger, hedgehog, robin, cat, dog.....

Only my son knows.

When they are on the windowsil to be dried,

my son looked so happy.

Now almost all the leaves fallen from trees,

we can feel and enjoy the Autmn in the house too.

halloween

It was halloween last Monday.

In this time of the year, we normally hide ourselves in dark quiet room

so that no one knows we are at home.

But this year, we curved a pampkin. ( big step! )

Me and my son.

I did the cutting, and he did digging out.

And what a smile when he saw the lantern lit with a candle!

He says " it smells like juice".

If you open the lid bit when the candle is burning inside the lantern,

it does smell like sweet fruit juice.

He did this many times and looked so dreamy all evening.

little people

After we visited our local woods one day,

these little people ( we call them "kobito-san" )came to our house one by one.

We think they followed us.

One morning a blue kobito-san came on a green boat.

Next morning orange kobito-san came on a blue boat....and so on.

Now we have four kobito-san.

My son picked some white berries in the park,

and served them in acorn top (hat? cup?) to kobito-san.

They were apparently "porridge".

But they are not always as well looked after as this.

Sometimes I find their face lying on the floor...horror!

Autmn is here

This is my boy, Bu-chan.

We made a conker necklace together.

It's very heavy, so you can't really wear it...

But it sometime becomes a "worm" or "snake" or "train" or "pond" or.......

when he is playing.

I made some boat with newspapers.

And I think he was a captain of the boats wearing necklace this time.

It's autmn!

Leaves everywhere!

This year we collected lots of beautiful leaves

( and ones you wouldn't usually pick up but your little one would, well, my one certainly did)

and pressed them in the biggest book in our house.

My friend told me that it is lovely to hang them, so I made two hangings with them.

They are quite gorgeous when pressed leaves hang by the window.

Unfortunately one of them didn't last for long

as it looked too inviting for a little boy not to mess around with twig.

my little things

After my son goes to bed, it's time for me to do my things.

I have been making these little things lately.

For friends.

This one says "OHISAMA" ----"The sun".

This one is for a friend who has two little boys.

Their names are embroidered on it .

This one was for a friend who has two little girls.

One for little baby girl.

And the other one for her big sister.

Why often blackbird?

I simply like them.

valentine

It is that time of the year coming.

Yes, time of looooooove.
I was asked to do some stuff for valentine.

Angels circling around the heart.

They are little heart hangings.

I sewed some japanese words on them, meaming "love" or "my heart".

funny little things.

And this is like last resourse.

"You shall have a photo of meeeeeee! (whether you like it or not)"

For me, love is caring.

so let's think of someone you love and hope he or she is in good health.
