granda's lampshade

We had an old lampshade inherited from my husband's granda.

One day the shade broke.

As I love old things, I wanted to give a new life to it.

So I made a shade.

I coloured the fabric with silk paint.

The blade is done by free machine embroidery.

This lives in our living room and gives a warm feeling every night.
